بيان صادر عن مؤسسة الاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية والشركة الدولية للاتصالات اليمنية (تيليمن)

نتيجة للتطورات المقلقة والخطيرة في البحر الأحمر، تستنكر المؤسسة العامة للاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية والشركة اليمنية للاتصالات الدولية (تليمن) بشدة تهديدات المليشيات الارهابية الحوثية باستهداف الكابلات البحرية الدولية. وتدين بقوة استمرار عسكرة هذه المليشيات للبحر الأحمر ومضيق باب المندب. مؤكدةً أن هذا يأتي في إطار جهود المليشيات الحوثية الذي يستهدف تعطيل الاقتصاد العالمي من خلال استهداف البنية التحتية للاتصالات الدولية.
فعلى مر السنين الماضية استهدفت هذه المليشيات بشكل ممنهج البنية التحتية للاتصالات في اليمن باستخدام الطائرات بدون طيار ، واستغلت مؤسسات الدولة التي سيطرت عليها بشكل غير قانوني في عام 2015 لتمويل أنشطتها الإرهابية وجمع المعلومات لقمع معارضيها والصحفيين. على الرغم من جهود المؤسسة والشركة اليمنية – الدبلوماسية والقانونية – المتواصلة خلال السنوات الماضية، إلا أن التحالفات الدولية للاتصالات – التي تدير هذه الكابلات – قد تعاملت مع مليشيات الحوثي ، مما منح هذه المليشيات معرفة بعمليات الكابلات البحرية الدولية.
حيث يُقدَّر ماتحصلت عليه هذه المليشيات مليارات الدولارات نتيجة سيطرتها على الكابلات البحرية مثل كابل آسيا – أفريقيا – أوروبا 1 (AAE-1) وكابل جنوب شرق آسيا – الشرق الأوسط – غرب أوروبا 5 (SEA-ME-WE 5) و كابلات أخرى.
يذكر أن هذه الاموال – التي تتدفق عبر النظام المصرفي العالمي – تشكل تهديدًا كبيرًا لنزاهة الاتصالات الدولية.
وعليه فإن المؤسسة العامة للاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية والشركة اليمنية للاتصالات الدولية (تليمن) تطالب وبشكل عاجل من شركات ومؤسسات الاتصالات الدولية وقف جميع تعاملاتها مع المليشيات الحوثية والكيانات غير الشرعية الخاضعة لسيطرتها في صنعاء. وتتعهد في الوقت ذاته بالتعاون الكامل لضمان انتقال منتظم لهذه الشركات، وذلك لحماية خدمات الاتصالات الدولية في اليمن والعالم من التخريب ..
In response to alarming evolutions in the Red Sea, Yemen’s Public Telecommunications Corporation (PTC) and TeleYemen company strongly condemn the Houthi terrorist group’s threats of targeting international submarine cables. The PTC & TeleYemen vehemently denounce the continued militarization of the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait by the Houthi terrorist group. Emphasizing that this comes as part of the Houthi terrorist group’s efforts to disrupt the global economy through the targeting of critical international telecommunication infrastructure.
Over the years, the Houthi terrorist group have systematically targeted Yemen’s telecom infrastructure using drones, exploiting state-owned entities seized illegally in 2015 to finance their terrorist activities and gather intelligence to suppress any voice dissent, including journalists. Despite relentless diplomatic and legal efforts by the Yemeni Ministry of Telecommunications and its state-owned entities, international telecom consortiums have engaged with the Houthi terrorist group, which provided them with knowledge of international submarine cable operations.
It is estimated that the Houthi terrorist group have received billions of dollars through their control of submarine cables like the Asia-Africa-Europe 1 (AAE-1) and the South East Asia–Middle East–Western Europe 5 (SEA-ME-WE 5). These funds, channelled through international banking systems, pose a significant threat to global telecommunications integrity.
The Yemen PTC & TeleYemen urgently call upon international telecom companies and institutions to cease all dealings with the Houthi terrorist group and illegitimate entities under their control in Sana’a. It pledges full cooperation to ensure a smooth transition for these companies, in order to safeguard telecommunication services in Yemen and worldwide from disruption.
